Intense deep red in colour with a purplish hue. The nose has a powerful aroma of earth and spice, fresh and dried herbs and vibrant black and dark red fruit with gamey undertones. More black and dark red fruits with thick chewy tannins held in check with a long line of acidity. With 2016 being a warmer vintage at Serpentine there is a ripeness and boldness that excels in this wine but certainly isn’t looking at all hot or tired. Will continue to improve for at least 10 years and beyond.
