Bendigo Shiraz 2023 Bottle

This shiraz is hearty and well finished. It tastes of scorched plums, black licorice, mint and peppercorns, the flavours attacking straight up and then sustaining well through both the palate and the finish. Grunty tannin is a good base, and complement. Everything’s in alignment here. At its best: now to 2031+.

Deep, bright red-purple colour; the bouquet is youthful and very fresh, pepper/spice and meaty young shiraz aromas. A trace of cassis. The wine is very intense and medium to full bodied, with bite and crunch, the tannins taut and firm but not astringent or harsh. A very young shiraz with lots of potential. Cellar it. At its best: now to 2036.
